The perfect nest for founding colonies of ants! Available in 4 styles, this nest is designed to cater to the needs of both smaller and larger species of ants. The compact chambers in Style 1 and the open space in Style 2 provide a comfortable environment for your ants to thrive in. Plus, it comes with a leather cover to maintain the ideal dark conditions for your ant colony. With a deep water reservoir, gone are the days of watering daily. The attached outworld means your young colony doesn't have to travel far to find the nutrients they need. The water reservoir will release a slow consistent flow of humidity.

Moved the hydration hole placement to the side of the nest instead of the top.
Adjusted the connectors for a more secure fit by using a screw mechanism.
Added an air vent to help reduce condensation buildup.
Rounded the corners for a smoother design.
Reduced the nest's thickness to improve artificial heating efficiency.
The outworld comes flatpacked to make shipping cheaper and reduce postage damages.
The outworld is now assembled using screws as opposed to glue which can deteriorate over time.
Added a plaster interior design option.
 
The outworld for this nest is available either flat-packed or pre-assembled. Flat-packed reduces shipping costs and the risk of damage during transport, and an Allen key is included for easy assembly. If you prefer a pre-assembled option, please note that it will take an additional 1-2 days to ship.

Suitable For
This nest is suitable for founding colonies. The amount of workers it will fit comfortably depends on the species as Ant size ranges. Style 1 was designed for smaller species of founding colonies in mind and Style 2 was designed for larger species of founding colonies in mind. However, they will both flourish and do well in either.
 
Tips
You can also hydrate the Ytong/Plaster block directly between the acrylic and it will soak it up for those species who love humidity that extra bit more.
If you're heating the nest for an exotic species, do not heat under the water reservoir as this will create excess condensation.
For exotic species, it is recommended to heat the nest before moving the ants inside so you can monitor the temperatures within the nest and adjust it to their needs.
For exotic species, be sure to provide a heat gradient so the ants can pick and choose where to sit.
Try not to overhydrate. Do not fill up the water reservoir needlessly. Not much water is required to achieve a high humidity and it's easier to add water than remove. You can find the sweet spot for your colony over time and adjust based on their behavior.
