This Test Tube Portal is designed to easily move ants from one test tube to another with minimal stress for both you and the ants! It features small air holes for air exchange and a flat base to stop the test tubes from rolling around. With this Test Tube Portal, you can quickly and safely transfer ants from one tube to another.
 
Simply connect your dirty test tube containing the colony up to one side of the connector and then attach a fresh test tube to the other end. Expose the old dirty test tube to light and place the fresh test tube in the dark. I find using a tinfoil or sock sleeve is sufficient enough.
 
Depending on the species, test tube changes can take a while. Sometimes a light heat source in the new test tube can be more appetizing for them to make the move.

Notice: If washing/ cleaning, lukewarm water is just fine. Do NOT exceed 30c as you risk the product losing its shape.
 
Our 17mm Test Tubes sometimes vary in diameter by a fraction of a MM which sometimes makes the portals a tad bit loose. They still function as advertised and leave no room for escapees but less force is needed to remove the Test Tube Portal.
