Colony form: Monogyne (one queen per colony) Average 5,000 workers per colony.


Founding Queen: Claustral (without feeding)


Nest type: Acrylic, Y tong, Natural setup.
 

Sizes: Queen- 7- 8mm/ Worker- 6- 7mm


Bite/ Sting/ Formic acid: No

 

Description: Aphaenogaster dulciniae are mainly found throughout southern Spain and are sensitive to nest conditions. They have beautiful golden colored workers and are also mainly a nocturnal species. They can become aggressive upon nest disturbance.
